The New Science Behind Getting Skinny

So you’ve heard for years that weight loss is all about calories in, calories out right? Is it really that simple? In a word, No. The reality is that if you have high levels of insulin in your body, your body will accumulate fat. Our bodies secrete insulin as a response to our intake of carbohydrates. What insulin does is put fat into fat tissue. Bottom line is if you really want to shed the pounds off your fat arse, you need to cut your carbohydrate intake. Now of course not everybody processes carbohydrates in the same manner, but generally speaking if you lower your carbohydrate intake you will shed pounds. Now, does this mean you completely eliminate carbs? Some weight loss experts will tell you yes but if you are doing high intensity weight loss excercises, than that is not possible because you need carbohydrate energy. As we all know though, there is a difference between good carbs and bad carbs. Natural carbs like fruit and vegatables are much better for your body than sugar loaded carbs like candy bars, ice cream, even Yogurt (ever read the label on yogurt and seen how many sugars are in there??). Watch this interview with New York Times Journalist Gary Taubes, one of the world’s best science researchers.
